I was so excited when Adrianna of Crafterhours asked for participants in a blog tour! I had the privilege to sew the Narita Dress earlier in the year and I just love her designs!!!
I didn't realize until after I made this dress that there are little white flowers in the print!!!! How fortuitous!!! Although not exactly the actual edelweiss flower, I am claiming this dress as my "small and white, clean and bright" flower! (And yes, it looks happy to me!)
The bodice is lined and the back has a button tab closure - I was glad to find a perfect match in my vintage button stash from Nick's grandmother! I love a touch of vintage - the whole pattern as a vintage vibe to me - I'm sure I had a dress similar in style when I was little!
This was the first time I used a new sewing machine foot! The narrow hem foot creates a tiny little hem - perfect for heirloom and other garment sewing! I used it to hem the ruffle arms - the end result looks so professional!
I made the shorter length instead of the dress length so I could put some cute bloomers underneath and show off those adorable chunky legs!!
Eva Mae is finally doing a lot of walking! It took her forever to get the hang of balance and walking without toppling over! I love watching her learn, grow, and develop! She is such a fun little personality! It's super cute to see her try to run away from her brother when we want to chase her! And good golly is she vocal!!! We don't understand a word she says but she has so much conviction as she's trying to communicate with us!
I had such a great time sewing this dress! The instructions were easy to follow, the diagrams were spot on and the end result is a dress that will bring out all the girly in your little girl!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and please go check out the pattern shop to see the other cute patterns by Hey June!

DeleteOh, I simply love this pattern! And, your daughter is quite the perfect model. My little girl has those cute thighs-gotta love 'em! I still don't get why no one likes them on adults, though:) I haven't traveled too many places out of the US, but we were married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico...so, that would have to be my top place. Thanks for the giveaway! becky@chaselegaltitle.com

ReplyDeleteRaeanna, I love the tunic dress that you came up with. It really is the perfect length for a beginning walker. It's crazy how often they fall. It's a good thing that my little boy is a boy so I don't have to worry about making outfits that he won'ttrip over. In the last week, he has had either bloody noses or bit through his lip, ect everyday, at least once a day. He is spmuper accident prone.
ReplyDeleteI like to go to lava lake by the craters of the moon and my address is al.pal.shaffer at gmail dot com
